Charlie and the chocolate factory


Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is a 2005 fantasy film directed by Tim Burton and starring Johnny Depp. Based on the 1964 Roald Dahl children’s novel of the same name, the film also stars Freddie Highmore as Charlie Bucket and is the second film adaptation of the book.

Charlie is a poor kid who lives with his family in a small house near the Chocolate Factory. Willy Wonka, the owner, says that that children who find some golden tickets could go to the Factory and see everything, but Charlie is really poor and he can only buy one chocolate bur. Finally he wins and he can enjoy with the magic inside the building.

It’s a nice film for parents and children. Everybody can get excited watching it.


Vicky Cristina Barcelona

Vicky Cristina Barcelona is a 2008 film written and directed by Woody Allen. The stars are Javier Bardem, Penélope Cruz and Scarlett Johansson and Rebecca Hall.

Two American young women are going to spend their summer holiday in Barcelona. Vicky is sensible and has intention of marrying; Cristina is emotional and is in search of new adventures. In Barcelona, both of them have a strange relationship  with Juan Antonio, a charismatic painter who still supporting a troubled relation with his ex-wife, Maria Elena.

Though it didn’t have a very good review, I think it’s an original film with great actors playing.



Amélie is a 2001 French film directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet and starring Audrey Tautou. Its original French title is Le Fabuleux Destin d’Amélie Poulain which literally translates as “The Fabulous Destiny of Amélie Poulain”.
It’s a story about a girl named Amélie that never had got any real life contact with other people. This leads Amélie to resort to her own fantastical world and dreams. Later she becomes a young woman and moves to the central part of Paris as a waitress. She finds a lost treasure and she decides to return it to his owner. After seeing his reaction she decides to spend her life helping people around her. But then she realizes that is leaving of side her own life so she thinks she should take a move on it, become more aggressive and capture the beauty of love she has always dreamed of.

This is my favourite one. I love the way of transmitting the story, the actors, the sentences they say and each sequence of the movie.
